  • What is a sip and paint party?
A sip and paint party is a creative painting session open for everyone. Whether you want to follow an instructor at home online or in a pub the format is is the same: follow a lead artist who will show you how to paint a set painting using acrylic paint. Of course you are free to add your own creative stamp! You do not need to bring anything with you, we provide all materials. If you are attending a team building event virtually, art supplies will be delivered to you before the painting session starts. For our paint and sip events at public venues please arrive 10 minutes early to find a seat, order your drinks and get set up. The events last about 2.5 hours and are run by professional artists who can provide you with hints and tips all night. As you will be painting for the evening, it's a good idea not to wear your finest clothes. Whilst it is unlikely that paint will get on your clothes, we can't rule it out. Some people are just more passionate painters than others!
  • What is included in the ticket price?
Real life events: All materials are included: canvas, easel, paints, pallet, brushes, paint pot and apron. You get to keep the canvas at the end of the night. Food and drink are not included in the ticket price unless specifically stated on the ticket. Online events: The ticket grants you access to our Facebook Live group to watch the painting session. Painting materials will need to be purchased separetly in our shop.
  • I’ve never painted before can I attend?
Our events are for everyone. You will receive full instruction from a friendly and helpful artist - so whether you have an art degree, haven't ever painted or want to get back into it, it's for you! The painting is done in sections and if you need to you can ask questions as you go.
  • What do I wear to a sip and paint night?
It's worth wearing clothing you don't mind getting a little paint on, just in case! You will be provided with an apron for your painting class. However, depending on how passionate you are with your brush strokes, there is a chance a few splats could land on your clothes. We use acrylic paint which is water soluble. If the paint is still wet, you can wash it off with water and a cloth. If the paint has dried, you can remove the paint using nail polish remover or hairspray and a dry. This should loosen the paint from the fabric.
  • Where do you run sip and paint events in the UK?
We have several venues across the UK including: Nottingham, Tamworth, Lichfield, Nuneaton, Derby, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, Preston, Hesketh Bank, Prestatyn, Amersham, Maidenhead, Farnham, Kings Lynn, Brighton, Sunbury-on-Thames, Wimbledon, Bangor, Haywards Heath, Cambridge, Ely, Stroud, Cheltenham, Uckfield, Ringmer, Heathfield, Pevensey, Horsham, Rye, Bognor, Petersfield, Maidstone, Tonbridge Worthing and Woking. We are starting to add lots of new venues so if you have somewhere in mind you would like to paint let us know! We have artists based across the country so if you are looking to run a private event we can help.
  • Do you run online sip and paint classes?
Yes we do! ArtWorks by The Paint Club is where we record and share all of our painting tutorials. You can paint these at home at your own pace. More information can be found in our shop. If you want to host a private sip and paint party with friends or colleagues online; we can set you up with everything you need. Arrange a private paint party with us.
  • Can I host my own private online painting party?
Of course! We will be happy to help organise everything you need to run an adult paint and sip party for your colleagues or for your friends and family. We can send through all the painting materials, Zoom details and of course a professional and friendly artist to show you how to create a masterpiece. All you need to do is let us know how many people want to take part and which painting you would like to do. Send us an email to get started: thepaintclub.co.uk/contact
  • If we want to do a private painting party, can we choose the painting?"
Yes of course! We have a range of popular and easy paintings you can choose from or you can comission your own. Have a look at our gallery of paintings to decide which one you would like to do here.
  • How do I book a space on a Paint Club (online and offline)?
All Paint Club events are ticketed and there is limited availability, tickets must be purchased in advance. All our events (online and offline) are listed here: https://www.thepaintclub.co.uk/book Terms and Conditions: Please be aware tickets are Non-refundable and are only valid for the Paint Club event on the date listed on your ticket. We cannot transfer your ticket to future Paint Club events, in any circumstances.
  • Do you do private art courses or painting lessons?
Yes! We do all sorts of events. Hen parties, birthday parties, family get togethers, corporate events and even weddings! We also offer all of our events online now too using Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Webex and Facebook Live :) Arrange a private event with us. We can help you source a venue, provide all the materials you need and set you up with a professional artist to run the event. It's all the fun of a usual Paint Club but tailored to your requirements.
  • Do you run hybrid sip and paint events for those in the office and at home?
Now people are have returned to offices we have started to run sip and paint events in-person and virtually. It works just the same way! If some of your team work remotely, we can send them an art kit with all the same materials used by the group in the office. We often see groups together in a meeting room with everyone else painting from home. The instructor can still interact exactly the same as if they were there in person or if everyone attended virtually.
  • What kind of paint will I be using?
Every painting workshop we run uses acrylic paint. Acrylic paint is fantastic for building up vibrant layers and also dries very quickly which means you will be able to take your painting home safely. The downside is it isn't great if it gets on your clothes. Although it is highly unlikely that you will get any little splats of paint on yourself (and you will be provided with an apron), we recommend wearing clothes suitable for painting - baggy sleeves can be the victim of a quick dip in your paint palette.
